STICKY BEEF RIBS
8 RQM Beef Ribs
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tsp salt
1 tbs English or Dijon mustard
2 tbs brown sugar
2 tbs tomato sauce
2 tbs lemon juice
- Put the Beef ribs in a large saucepan. Cover ribs with water, and bring slowly to simmering point over a low heat. Gently simmer, partially covered for 1 hour.
- Combine the garlic, salt, mustard, brown sugar, tomato sauce and lemon juice in a bowl and stir until combined.
- When cooked remove ribs from water and drain on paper towel.
- Brush marinade over ribs. Stand for 30 minutes or overnight is even better.
If you prefer BBQ’ing – barbecue ribs over a moderate heat for 10-12 minutes, turning often and basting with marinade until ribs are golden brown.
If you prefer oven cooking – place ribs on a rack in a baking tray and cook in a moderate oven (180°) for about 20 minutes, turning when needed.
Great with mashed sweet potato and whole beans, or a big tossed salad.
